Even during the Great Depression of the early 1930's, there were still people buying and there were still those businesses  that survived and prospered because they did not quit! They kept marketing their products and services so people knew where to go for them!  Make Sense?

Then, when times got better, guess who prospered?  You're right. Those who kept their names in front of the public and kept marketing!

Even today, when you watch television, you sometimes wonder if there
aren't more commercials than program content. Why?
Because the smart businesses know they have to keep their
names and products and services in front of the public.

That way, when the economy gets better,
their names will be the ones consumers think of first.
Those who quit will have to spend a lot more money to catch up than they would have spent if they stayed in the game!
